What is BrickDb?

BrickDb is a free collection manager for builders and collectors of LEGO® sets, minifigures and parts. It records what you own copy by copy — each with its own condition profile, your photos and what you paid — and shows what a set is actually worth as the median of real sales, with the band and the sample size behind it. It runs in the browser and as a native app, and is built and operated by ThreeB IT GmbH.

It began with a shelf and a spreadsheet. A spreadsheet holds what you own; it cannot tell you that one set number covers four copies in four conditions, that the second one is missing three pieces, or what any of them is worth this month. BrickDb answers those questions in one place — and you need no account to search the catalogue, use the scanner or check prices.

FEATURES

Built the way collectors think

Copy by Copy

Three copies of the same set — one sealed, one built, one parted out — are three records, each with its own condition, unlimited photos and the price you paid.

Condition as a Profile

Seal state, build state, completeness, box, instruction and parts grades, stickers — plus flags such as yellowing, shelf wear or weak clutch. Instead of a single “used” tick box.

Sets, Minifigures & Parts

Search by name or number, or browse by theme. Every set page lists its parts colour by colour, refreshed nightly from Rebrickable's published data.

Code Scanner

Point the camera at a collectable minifigure bag or a set box: BrickDb reads the DataMatrix code or the retail barcode and names what is inside — in the browser and in the apps, without an account.

Honest Market Value

A valuation is the median of recorded sales, with its quartile band, the number of sales and the window they fall in. Below five sales, BrickDb says it does not know.

Parts View & Wishlist

The parts view adds up every piece across all your sets and loose lots. The wishlist keeps what you are still after, and shared collections have members and roles.
